How Teams Use It: Teams use the BigQuery MCP server to give AI agents direct SQL access to their data warehouse — exploring schemas, running analytics queries, and generating business insights without a custom integration. Data engineers and analysts can ask questions in natural language and have the agent discover relevant tables, inspect their schemas, and execute read-only queries against production datasets. Teams that need write capabilities can also run DML and DDL statements through the execute_sql tool with appropriate IAM controls.
